IS THIS THE EYE OF GOD?

In the never ending always expanding universe, there is no end.

This is the Cats Eye Chandra ( courtesy of the Hubble Telescope). An exploding super sized sun ( or star) that died a violent death probably a hundred million years ago I am guessing. It is only recently that this action was recorded for our eyes here. The size of this explosion would have taken up most of our galaxy if it happened near us. What we are seeing actually happened that far back in time. It took that long for the light to travel to us so what we are witnessing today was what happened that far back in time based on the speed of light as a rule. In the universe, time is a constant never ending measure that has only a beginning and no known ending. It always was and always is infinitely.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and filled it with wondrous and amazing sights. There were stars, other worlds, and galaxies formed with may wonders and objects. Out of all this organized chaos, he created one world that we know of that could sustain life as we know it in His likeness. That was Earth. Our temporary home. Although we have yet to find another world like ours, we can only consider this is the work of God creating a place for our carbon based lifeforms to grow, mature, and procreate. Just as we marry in love and procreate other life forms in our likeness to love, nurture, and guide so did He as our all divine Father who loves us as his children.

As with our own children, He guides us with love and chastises us when we wander away from the flock. He gave us the mind to think and create and gave us choices to follow Him or not. All the while always giving us love in hopes we will return the love and worship Him as the divine Father and creator. He showed us many miracles and many scriptures to use as a guide. He sent us prophets to testify His words and truths. He sacrificed his only Son to free us of our sins and offered all a place in the house of the Lord for eternity if we repented from our sins and worship Him. He offered us choices, He did not forcefully demand our love and worship. We have a choice although the alternative is not very pleasant.

He opened up the universe and heavens for us to see, He gave us advanced knowledge to become creative, He gave us technology to make a better life for all, He opened up our minds to explore the sciences, and he wanted us to know He is the one true God filled with love. All that He ask in return was to believe in Him and spread His word as the absolute truth so that many more can dwell in the House of the Lord for all eternity.

Is the Cats Eye Chandra really an extension of the Eye of God? I don't know. I think it is a sign that He brought forward for us to see that His prophesy of opening up the heavens to miraculous signs of His power and super natural abilities is coming to frutition as it was predicted.

IT IS UP TO YOU NOW

For 40 days after Jesus resurrection, He appeared to his disciples many times and spoke of their new commission. One named Thomas said he would believe He has risen if only he could touch the wounds. Jesus appeared to Thomas at one of the meetings and guided his hands over His wounds. Thomas was so moved that he immediately started out to spread the "Good News" and it was said he went to India. (John 20:19-31).

At the end of the 40 days Jesus had met them on a mountain top where the disciples had many questions to ask of Him. As he was rising up into the heavens He stated " lets discuss how you will receive the Holy Spirit. How you will go forth and proclaim the "Good News" till the ends of the earth, baptising the believers, casting out demons, using you gift of tongues, and laying your hands on the sick". " Go to Jerusalem and wait for the Holy Spirit." His work on Earth was done. He was leaving. He left everything in their hands. It was up to them.( Mark 16: 15-20)

For a short time in Jerusalem, nothing happened. The disciples prayed daily and praised God then the Spirit came over them then their quest began. They took up the cross to bear witness of Jesus. Jesus left it all in their hands to spread the "Good News".

I also think the message Jesus left for them also applies to us as the modern day disciples. Did He expect us to just sit around and wait for His next comming? I don't think so. It is our commission to continue spreading the "Good News". Our job is naturally easier as we do have the Scriptures as our second witness to His Words. No we should not be waiting for Him. He is waiting for us to get going. What is holding you back?

Just as we have to work to provide a living and support ourselves, we also have to work to spread the "Good News"about Jesus. Who have you won to Christ lately? Are you setting an example with your actions so that others will want to be like you and desire Gods grace? Are you just going to church weekly and singing praises then going back to the normal routine after Sunday with out even thinking about Jesus till next Sunday?

There are three things that I feel every believer should be doing in a church. Fellow ship with in the church, worshiping God as our divine creator and Jesus as Our saviour, and serving with in the church to bring others to God and Jesus. Now this doesn't mean fellowship with only the members but also to ones that come in off the streets seeking answers ( no room for click groups). Worshiping only God and Jesus by Singing praises, hearing the scriptures and reading the scriptures frequently. Serving in the church that will bring more to Christ. I am not talking about serving the church but serving the Lord that will win more to Him.

So how do you stack up so far? No I am not condeming others but I wanted to give you an idea to base your progress. We have a book that is the most powerful and influential book ever written ( the Bible). You might say it can be used as an instruction manual in leading you in the paths and ways the Lord wants you to follow. I can assure you it will not lead you in the wrong direction. You can put your faith and trust in this Holy book as the absolute truth.

It is all up to you now.

IN THE COSMOS A CHANCE MEETING

IN THE COSMOS A CHANCE MEETING
What are the chances of meeting someone in a large state of Ohio where by you both had something in common? 50 million to one or greater?
Let me get back to the start of the story.
The wife and I volunteered to drive our grandson to meet his dad in West Virginia (A 200 mile trip one way) today to spend the summer there. Ok we got the directions and nothing out of the ordinary going there happened. We made the right changes and exits on the highways. It was a nice scenic drive if you can find flat lands scenic. We made the drop off and started back on the return trip. I mentioned to my wife we need to be on the look out for SR 32 exit off of SR 35.
Well we traveled on SR 35 for what seemed forever. I ask her if she ever saw the SR 32 exit. Nope. As a matter fo fact we had traveled 50 mile past that exit when we checked it on the map.
We were in the middle of no where. A voice inside me sad to continue on. After going back over the map we deducted we were getting close to I 71 which we could take back south to Cincinnati. No big deal, We were only about 40 mile further north than what we should have been.
Realizing the gas gauge was getting low we decided to get more gas and use the bath rooms. Unfortunately, we were told the bath rooms were closed at the gas station. What appeared to taking on a crisis status was quickly subdued as we found a Wendy's close by with open bathrooms.
We rushed in to get relief. Never knew going to the bathroom was such a pleasure. While the wife was in the Loo ( slang for Bathroom) , a lady asked the wife about her leg as she was on crutches. She said she would pray for my wife.
I was in the other Loo( men's Room) and ran into a fellow washing his hands. We both nodded and I went out side to wait for the wife. The fellow and his son was looking at a poster waiting for his wife. Both finally came out and the wife and I went out to get into our car. The fellow came out behind us and asked if he could pray for us. At first we were startled but he introduced himself as a pastor of a Vineyard church and noticed my wife walking with the crutches. He and his wife wanted to pray for her and help in her recovery. Considering the Chiropractor wasn't too successful so far, we were game.
His wife and son came out and it was like a reunion. It seemed they too had missed their exit to get back to their home after a Vineyard conference and stopped by for refreshments. We prayed for my wife together right there in the parking lot. I got goose bumps and the wife was all aglow. Her leg did feel better after being couped up in the car for so long which was hurting quite a bit.
His statement to us was he felt a sense to pray for my wife. I at the same time had an odd sense about him when he stopped us to introduce himself. My mind told me "it is OK, he is a Vineyard minister" before he even stated that. How did I know that?
This chance encounter was not really a chance encounter. We were led to intercede in our paths with each other. We were led to miss our exits in order to come together for a brief moment in time. We were led to the same result to pray for my wife and have fellowship. God was leading him to minister to us. God was leading us to the Wendy's to meet these loving people. We could have stopped at any of the other restaurants there but Wendy's stuck out like a beacon saying to stop there. We were led by God as I believe they were led by God.
This just goes to show you that God is always working in our lives in the strangest ways that we take for granted.
Thanks Mike and family for the prayer.

ACLU tries to block prayer at Pace High School

This recently happened at the graduation ceremony at a high school near my home town as reported by Human Events.

Way to go Class of 2009. Let your actions speak loudly to the ACLU that you cannot be stopped in your words of faith.

Despite threats from the ACLU, 400 students in Florida broke protocol during a graduation ceremony.

During a recent graduation ceremony at Pace High School in Santa Rosa County, Florida, nearly 400 graduating seniors stood and recited the Lord's Prayer. The American Civil Liberties Union had previously filed a lawsuit against the school because they alleged that the principal asked the athletic director to bless a meal at an awards ceremony. The graduation prayer was recited in protest of the lawsuit.

Matt Staver of Liberty Counsel says many of the students were upset over the attack on free speech by the ACLU. "The ACLU had actually threatened the school that they would be in trouble with the court if any student or any kind of religious message was given at this particular graduation. They did not want any student to say anything religious, or no prayer," he explains. "The students would not take this sitting down, and they decided to fight back." The ACLU contends that something should have been done to stop the students from reciting the Lord's Prayer. Staver says his organization will defend any students if action is taken against them.

Liberty counsel is currently defending the principal in regards to the previous lawsuit.

In my own thoughts this was a great way to stand up and rebuke the ACLU. I would imagine this action represented the vast majority of the students graduation class at Pace High School.

Actually what right does the ACLU have going on school property and dictate to the students what they can and cannot do? The majority ruled this day and the ACLU was over ruled. I would imagine the ACLU will probably spend thousands of the tax payers money to track every student down and sue them for expressing their God given right to freedom of speech and religion.

It is high time we as Americans stand up to these so called speaking for America groups and let our voice be heard loud and clear.

THE WAY I SEE THINGS

This is an article I found on Human Events.com written by Chuck Norris.

Got Your Permit To Study the Bible?
by Chuck Norris
06/02/2009

-->
Recently a California pastor and his wife were required by San Diego County officials to obtain a permit to hold a Bible study in their home. "What?! Is this a joke?" I wondered as I heard the news for the first time. It was no joke. Rather, it's a First Amendment nightmare and possibly a foreshadowing of what's to come. Are you prepared for a future in which you hear, "Got your permit to study the Bible?"
On April 10 (Good Friday), a county code enforcement officer visited the home of David and Mary Jones after receiving a complaint about their Christian gatherings. The Jones' attorney, Dean Broyles, president of The Western Center for Law & Policy, conveyed in disbelief, "The county asked (Mrs. Jones), 'Do you have a regular meeting in your home?' She said, 'Yes.' 'Do you say "amen"?' 'Yes.' 'Do you pray?' 'Yes.' 'Do you say "praise the Lord"?' 'Yes.'" The officer then warned the family to "cease and desist" the "religious gathering" or they would face weekly fines. A few days later, the county delivered a citation claiming that the Joneses were guilty of "unlawful use of land" and mandating them to "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit." At first, I thought, "They must have a large congregation meeting in their home to warrant this type of citation and prompt this type of commotion, right?" Actually, according to their lawyer, the Joneses have been hosting weekly Bible studies in their home for about five years, with an average attendance of only about 15 people. Broyles appropriately responded, "If the county thinks they can shut down groups of 10 or 15 Christians meeting in a home, what about people who meet regularly at home for poker night? What about people who meet for Tupperware parties? What about people who are meeting to watch baseball games on a regular basis and support the Chargers?" Well, this past weekend, barraged by hundreds of complaints after WorldNetDaily broke the news to the international community, San Diego County officials informed the world that they'd backed down from requiring the Joneses to obtain a permit. Despite their retraction (based solely upon public pressure, I might add), however, I am appalled at how far the county's enforcement and encroachment crossed the constitutional line and became a flagrant disregard for Americans' right to exercise their religious faiths. And I'm concerned that we will see far more of these overreaching governmental actions in years to come. As Mary Jones shared with Fox News: "The implications are great because it's not only us that's involved. There are thousands and thousands of Bible studies that are held all across the country. What we're interested in is setting a precedent here -- before it goes any further -- and that we have it settled for the future." I'm not expecting county officials to be constitutional lawyers, but they should be aware of these basic precepts of America's makeup. For example, prior to the San Diego officials' recanting their position regarding the Joneses' Bible study, Chandra Waller, the general manager of the county's Land Use and Environment Group, declared, "The Bible studies are one that's probably in a very gray area." "Very gray area"? Is there anything "very gray" about the First Amendment? I agree again with Broyles, who explained further to Fox News: "The government may not prohibit the free exercise of religion. I believe that our Founding Fathers would roll over in their grave if they saw that here in the year 2009, a pastor and his wife are being told that they cannot hold a simple Bible study in their own home." Part of the genius of America's Founding Fathers was to provide and secure a foundation for our freedom of religious belief. The First Amendment simply reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Could it be any clearer that government may not prohibit "the free exercise thereof"? Now more than ever, we need to be like the Joneses! Fight for the First Amendment and your freedom to exercise your religion.

I really think this was a test to see what the public reaction would be if a Government official with a hidden agenda would take action against Christians for assembly. Why was a Christian assembly of 15 people targeted and asked such direct questions? Every weekend sports fans gather at each others house to watch sports on TV. Is there a law against that yet? I don't think so.

This is just the tip of the ice berg of what is actually happening in this country. Not since the beginning of Christianity has there been such an increased action to squelch the freedom of religion and assembly. You can see it every where. In schools, children are not allowed to pray. There is a movement to take "In God We Trust" off our money. The pledge of allegiance has been attacked to remove "One Nation Under God" In Washington there is a movement to bar prayer before the Congressional and senate assemblies are started. These unseen minority forces have already taken the Ten Commandments out of Judicial court houses and banned them from public display.

The sad part is, the Secular Modern Age Movement has open house to promote their one world religion and one government rule any where and any place as they please. The tragic part is these secular supporters have infiltrated our political process and are using it to change our democratic process to serve their needs even though the majority of Americans votes otherwise. It is amazing the increased babble against Christ has so rapidly become announced in every outlet in the world. Perhaps it is as prophesized .

If you are a follower of the book of Revelations, and other prophesies through out the Bible, you will not be surprised. All it will take is a few more prophesies to come true before the Rapture will happen. Do I know when? No, but the times are rapidly approaching when it will happen.

As Jesus stated. "Only the Father knows the time table, I will come like a thief in the night, Be prepared, The time is at hand." I truly believe that the time really is at hand and may well happen in our generation considering the current world affairs.

Are you ready? You have the best chronicles available to follow the last days as Christ comes back to Earth to claim his Church and it's followers.
